Exploring our shared interconnectedness and the landscapes that shape us
HUMAN NATURE STORIES TOLD THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY, FILM, ART AND OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES
THE BELIEF
We are all interwoven
I believe we're interwoven with nature and each other. Not visitors to the natural world but part of it, shaped by the landscapes we move through and the people we share them with.
It's easy to forget. We move fast, and the outdoors becomes a backdrop or a weekend escape. I believe slowing down is how we remember. Noticing the light on a ridge, a glance across a room, the feel of clay in your hands or mud underfoot. Attention is how we feel we belong.
So everything I do, whether it's a photograph, a print, a wedding or a day on the hill, is a way of helping people notice, and feel that they're part of something bigger.
HOW I WORK
Slowing Down
Paying attention to the detail and the feeling, and staying curious and present. Everything is crafted with care: cinematic visuals, grounded narratives, and a balance of artistry and truth.
Holding Space
Whether it's a commission, a wedding, or a day on the hill, I'm there for the people in it. I build trust before I pick up the camera, the brush or the map, and I approach every experience that matters to someone with sensitivity and tenderness.
Leading with Wonder
We live on a beautiful planet, and I never quite get over that. I come to people and places with curiosity and joy, and it's a privilege to be let into other people's worlds and to share the experience
WAYS OF WORKING WITH ME
-
People and landscape, and the places where the two meet. For over ten years I've told long-form documentary stories about people, place and the outdoors, from adventure and cycling to the long way round. The work begins before the camera comes out, with time spent listening and building trust, so that what ends up on screen or in print feels honest and deeply human. I hold space for people and let them be seen as they are, with cinematic visuals, grounded narratives, and a balance of artistry and truth.

Drawing, printmaking and mark making. Translating feeling into something tactile and made slowly by hand. Support my artwork by buying a print or commissioning a piece.
-
Capturing the essence and soul of your wedding. Every wedding is its own small world, full of people who love you, gathered on one day to say so. I'm not there to direct it, I'm there to notice it: the in-between glances, the terrible dance moves, the moments nobody was performing for. I work quietly, mostly unseen, shooting on both film and digital. Film slows time down for the quieter moments and thoughtful portraits, and digital keeps pace with the hugs and the dance floor. The photographs are documentary at heart, warm, colourful and a little wild. My hope is that they feel less like a record of your day and more like a way back into it.

This is where the belief becomes something you can do rather than just see. I create the conditions for people to experience their connection to nature and to each other for themselves, rather than through an image of it. That means outdoor painting sessions and art classes in the landscape, where you slow down and look closely at the place you're standing in. It means group and community events that bring people together outdoors, and guided days in the hills at an unhurried pace, for people who'd rather feel it than tick it off. It also includes the stories from my own adventures, because time spent out there is where so much of this begins, and sharing it is part of the storytelling.
BIO
Hi, Hello
I'm Jade
A multidisciplinary creative, working through photography, video, art and outdoor experiences. Based among the rolling green hills of the Peak District, UK.
I grew up in the Devon countryside, to creative parents: a model maker and artist, and an architect and painter. Making things and looking closely at the world was simply how our house worked. I've always had many passions and loves, and I soon found they were interwoven, each one feeding the others. Rather than separating everything out into neat boxes, I've decided to bring my practice together in one place. The same threads run through everything I do.
I've worked with grassroots organisations and global NGOs, community groups and Olympic athletes, family-run businesses and leading outdoor brands. The scale changes, but what I bring doesn't. I pay attention, I take care of the people I'm working with, and I come to every project with curiosity.
Away from work, you'll find me at the allotment with soil under my nails, watching the seasons turn one row at a time. Or out on the hills and moors, walking, cycling and camping, in all weathers, usually with my dog Orca at my heels. Whenever I can, I'm in or by the sea, swimming, diving or simply watching the waves.
